Rob Feiner, LPCC
Prior to seeking my license as a professional clinical counselor, I have a decade of experience in an educational setting as a counselor to students at the high school level. Through my years in the academic world, I have worked with diverse individuals and groups covering a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, career counseling, interpersonal issues, as well as athletic and performance art potential. I helped many adolescents achieve their highest potential and established collaborative relationships to assist them with their next life transitions.
Through my passions and professional experience, I hope to bring a different perspective to our counseling sessions that can result in new insights as we work to promote positive change, resilience, and self-reliance.

If you feel like you've been missing out on life due to your mental health, you don’t have to go through this alone. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, panic attacks, OCD, addiction, or the unique pressures of working in the entertainment industry, I’m here to help. My approach is compassionate, direct, and tailored to your needs—offering a space where you can explore challenges, build resilience, and move toward meaningful change.
I specialize in working with adolescents, professionals, and individuals seeking relief from overwhelming thoughts, addictive patterns, and life transitions. Together, we’ll identify what’s holding you back, develop effective coping strategies, and work toward a life that feels more balanced and fulfilling.
Stress, self-doubt, and old patterns can make it hard to move forward, even when you know something needs to change. In therapy, we’ll focus on what’s actually getting in your way—not just surface-level fixes, but real shifts that help you feel more in control of your life. If you're looking for a space to figure things out without judgment, let’s talk.

Do you take pride in being there for others, but notice that you're neglecting yourself in the process? You find yourself feeling lonely and worrying about being a burden, even to the people you’re closest to. You’re grateful for what you have in life, but you feel like something needs to change in order for you to fully enjoy it. If this resonates with you, I can confidently tell you it does not have to stay this way. In therapy together, we can create a safe space to unpack the underlying experiences and emotions that contribute to what you’re experiencing. In addition to processing feelings, I help clients become more connected to themselves and others. My goal is that as you commit to the work of therapy, you will notice yourself feeling more grounded, joyful, and purposeful.
I delight in creating a space that allows clients to show up fully as themselves, honoring your story and celebrating your strengths. Your treatment will be tailored specifically for you, your personality and preferences. I provide inclusive, culturally attuned, and LGBTIA+ affirming treatment. Many of the challenges we face reflect larger societal pressures, which I believe is crucial to incorporate in treatment, especially when addressing body image, people pleasing, and perfectionism.
I invite you to contact me for a free 15 minute consultation at 424-272-5677. I look forward to speaking with you.

I've worked with issues ranging from "Failure to Launch" and "Sunday Scaries" to bipolar disorder, the autism spectrum, and ADHD. I have experience with individual’s ages six and up, families, traditional and non-traditional relationships, and those in high-performance professions. “The only normal people are the ones you don’t know very well.” (Alfred Adler, psychiatrist and therapist, early 20th century.) He’s one of the countless psychiatrists and therapists who attempt to understand the complexities of being human and, more importantly, help our clients improve their lives. How? There are lots of approaches; some say over 1000, others say as many as there are clients, because each client is unique. I use a number of them, crafting the approach as needed for each client.
I suspect that from your perspective, all the jargon-filled terms and acronyms referring to different approaches are irrelevant; you just want to feel better, right? Handle life better, relate better to others, and to yourself. That’s where relationship comes in.
Because, the most important factor in therapy, regardless of approach, is the relationship between client and therapist. That’s where healing happens, whether it’s trauma, family issues, career questions, grief, or any of life’s other difficulties. To explore whether we might be a good fit to work on those difficulties together, please give me a call for a free 15 min consultation at 424-866-2308 or email steve@dragonflytherapyca.com.

Being a teenager today is intense. School pressure, social media, identity, friends, family expectations — it’s a lot. Many teens I work with feel anxious, sad, overwhelmed, or shut down, and they’re tired of adults being problem-focused instead of curious. In our sessions, I slow things down and really listen. I’m less interested in fixing your teen and more interested in understanding what their body, mind, and emotions are trying to say. Together, we make sense of their inner world so they feel less alone and more in control of their life.
My style is calm, honest, and collaborative. I don’t lecture teens; I talk with them like real people. We notice what happens in their body when they’re stressed or shut down and practice new ways of responding instead of just reacting. I’ll offer tools when they’re useful, but the heart of the work is helping your teen feel seen and a little less alone.
I work primarily with teens and young adults who feel anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck in patterns they can’t quite name. I also support parents who want to show up differently but feel unsure where to start.
I invite you to contact me for a free 15 minute consultation at 310-818-7859 or mark@dragonflytherapyca.com. I look forward to speaking with you.
