Frequently Asked Questions

What is therapy?

Therapy is a collaborative relationship between therapist/counselor and client that gives you the ability to think about yourself and your life in an emotionally supportive environment.

By working together with your counselor it can become easier to understand how your thoughts feelings and behaviors influence patterns that create difficulties in your current daily life.

What happens in therapy?

It is a very personal decision to embark upon the journey of self-discovery through therapy.  Your own process will be unique to you, but generally you can expect each session to last about 50 minutes. Similar to exercise, consistency is a key element in your process.  To get the most out of your time in sessions, it is recommended that a client and counselor meet for weekly sessions.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel an appointment, please notify me as soon as possible. A full session fee is charged for missed appointments or cancellations with less than 24-hour notice.

Do you prescribe medication?

I do not prescribe medication, but if during our sessions we both feel you may benefit from investigating medication as a possibility, I can refer you to my colleague Dr. Marina Podlubnaya or The Neuro Wellness Spa for consultation to investigate what personalized effective treatment would be right for you.

What can I expect in my 15-minute consultation?

During our introductory consultation, we will discuss your reason for seeking therapy, your goals, my therapeutic approach, and any other questions you may have about the process.

What are your out of pocket rates?

Per 50-minute session my fee is $190 which can be paid by check, cash, or credit card. You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your therapy will cost. Each associate has their own rate, which they will provide you with individually.
